Anak Pak Lil Yang Aku Pernah Suka Dulu..

Dang, he looks so... emm... older than I last saw him?
[FYI his face looks a bit like Rosyam Nor + Rain, up to you to say he's handsome or not. For me... more in the middle.]
OK la... he's more handsome than before. Just because he's older than I last saw his face (in the newspapers la).
At first, I was like, "Kenapa laaa aku broke off ngan dia dulu?" (eventho cuma suka suki je... Zaman2 mula chatting dulu, paham2 la kejap jee dah suka kat orang)
Then, when I read his previous blog entries (he hadn't updated his blog since.. um.. 2006?) I was actually thankful that he's not in my life anymore.
Let's just say that he's a bit psychotic [one e.g.: arsonist? Let's not go any more further]...
Hmm... this entry won't get you anywhere... since I've lost my words...

Open Letter to My Nakamatachi

dear nakamatachi,
[sorry to downgrade from tomodachi... somehow i don't feel like i'm in the clique anymore]
aku tak leh nak tido sebab asyik terfikirkan perkara yang akan aku taip sebentar lagi. well, that probably not your problem, right?
berkenaan dengan insiden tayar bergedonk dengan bahu jalan malam semalam.
memula aku nak cakap kat sini,
1. no, i don't think she's a novice. in fact, i'm more novice than her.
2. and also, the fact why i spontaneously said "kan..!" is because she said she need to do balancing for her car - her stereng lari, and she's due from her first 1000km servicing (ayat aku betoi ka? aa bantai tak de orang pedulik).
why do i have a feeling that you think i said that because i think she doesn't know how to drive?
recently, i feel like whatever i said is WRONG. no, i mean, almost everything i said is wrong.
is it wrong for me to have this feeling?
okay, back to the incident.
another reason why i uttered the "kan..!" was, i've experienced the same problem before. the gedonks, i mean. and, tragically, rim tayar aku kemek. she's lucky that hers are okay.
am i wrong to be cautious? am i wrong to say it out loud that i don't feel safe?
ye lah... keter tu keter dia. bukan keter orang lain. tapi dia beli keter guna apa? air liur? kalau rosak nak bayar guna apa? air liur? and this comes from people who maxed out their credit cards. hmm.
you're just lucky that i'm the kind of person who thinks really carefully AFTERWARDS. if only i answered you back on the spot, well, i'll've a huge bet that you wont talk to me for at least a week. no, make it a fortnight. hmm nope, a month. you've done that before.
how do i remember? i hold grudges like no one else.
yeah, i do expect you won't be talking to me anytime soon. nah, you won't even ask me to hang out with you guys for the next weekends. but, heck, how many times i actually hang out with you guys last year?

Ahahaha sungguh serunduts!! Berjaya mengejas cable tepon yang buat hal... dah 5 hari tak leh nak masuk net dengan lancar (sebab wireless rumah belakang tu tak kuat, asek ujan je jadi siaran terganggu la)... Takyah pikir nak beli crimper/RJ-11/cable baru lagi dah ahahahaha!

Disebabkan kemalasan ini la aku dah menjadi tak tentu hala sekarang.

Sekarang ni berat aku dah melebihi paras bahaya. Kalau amek gambar tang muka dah buleh nampak extra meat kat pipi dan juga double chin yang melampau. Spentotz semua dah ketat gilos bila pakai lampin wanita. Baju kurung favourite dah nampak garis tetas.
MUST DO SOMETHING!!!
Bukan tak de treadmill kat rumah.
Bukan tak de lagu2 Kpop or Jpop yang buleh buat menari2.
Bukan tak de kasut yang buleh dibawak berlari.
Bukan tak de teguran2 dan sindiran2 dari famili.
Bukan tak de tangga yang buleh dipanjat hari2.
Bukan tak de bekalan oats and cornflakes kat rumah.
Semua faktor2 yang buleh menjadi pemangkin untuk menurunkan berat badan tanpa menggunakan duit yang banyak dah ada.
So, does that means I have to use lotsa money to get meself not to be overweight?

Muaks!
In the mood for Oosaka Rainy Blues by K8
Tadi gi makan kat Secret Recipe ngan Faz n Era.. Oder laa prawn mac & cheese. Dan seperti biasa, oder air suam.
Halfway masa makan PM&C tu dah terasa muak. Tapi terasa rugi pulak kalau tak abis, Maklomlah banyak lagi nak kena abihkan. Jadi kugagahi jua.
Lepas makan tu, terasa macam nak beli kek pulak. Maklomlah ari ni b'day Anne.. (Happy B'day, Anne-tot! hihi). Tapi terasa macam penuh sangat perut ni. Lepas tu terasa bloated giler. Lepas bayar, masa nak keluar, ternampak la gambar air apple kasturi. Then baru la terasa cam, "kenapa laa aku tak beli apple kasturi tadi... mungkin buleh tulung kurangkan rasa muak."
Bila dah naik keter Faz, cakap la kat depa yang aku muak giler. Lepas tu era pun cakap, "aku selalu oder makan dulu, baru leh pikir nak oder air ape. Baru buleh sesuaikan makan ngan air."
Betul jugak lojik dia tu. Not the logic of ordering drinks before meals, but the logic of matching the meals with drinks. Tu dia.
So aku pun terfikir, next time kalau nak oder makanan yang gerenti akan muak in the end - seperti lasagna, M&C, kek - , beli la air yang masam, atau air gas. Kalau makan mende pedas, beli air yang bersusu dan manis (cam milo), atau something creamy (cam ice blend mocha). Kalau makan mende yang biase2 pulak, baru la air suam atau teh. Hahaha =P
Tapi, harus di ingatkan di sini. Yang di atas ni applies for ME only yah!

Kek Kehidupan

Syukur le aku masuk keje kol 4 ptg.
Tengah2 tak leh tido, masuk la blog anne kejap. Serunduts pulak baca latest entry dia pasal kes ciplak menciplak keje seorang aktres pojaan malaya masa kini ni... Memang baik punye ciplak nih, pada hemat aku la dia ingat tak de orang Malaysia suka membaca literature apetah lagi poetry, so suka suki dia la jadikkan poem di bawah (karya Roger McGough)
jadi karya dia sendiri dengan men"direct-translate"kan sejibon2 poem di atas

WTF with the NH's version? Bangang giler. Utter nonsense. Maldo andwae. From what I understand, the cake mentioned in the original poem is the cake of life (kek kehidupan), camne buleh jadi kek coklat? Ape kaitan kek coklat dengan kek kehidupan? Ok ok. Nak avoid direct translation ke kononnye? Then what happened to the "so we ate eachother"'s part? "Jadi kita makan sesama diri."??? For what reason, should you not get to eat chocolate cake, you can suddenly become a cannibal (by makan sesama sendiri)?
Nak buat poem ni kena ade kehalusan dan tertibkata tersendiri. Bukan main tibai je, *poof!* jadik puisi. Sedangkan pantun pun kena ade pembayang dan maksud, Haiku pun kena ade 17 suku kata berkait. Ni (so-called) puisi kanak2 macam subtitles/alihsuara gred D. "Puisi Si Pari-Pari".. my foot. Katun doremon pun lagi beh translation dia.
And from what I gather, she didn't even give credits to the original poet! (Read more about it HERE)
And before you start bashing me for bashing this jelitawan, do mind reading the other two poems that she claimed her own (by not giving credits) here.
And finally, what made it very very fishy are the facts that (to date)
1. she removed her blog, or changed the name/url of the blog, or made it private;
2. she did not own up or apologise for her misconduct;
3. she did not give satisfactory explanation to her misconduct in her replies to Jannah's posts
Back to the very first sentence I typed, I was excited by the hype (eh it rhymes! See, I can pull it much better than NH :-P~~) jadi aku pun telah membukak semua links di blog2 yang menceritaan tentang salah laku NH ni secara sporadic, bermula dari anne nyer latest entry. Kalau teringin nak baca kes plagiat ni dengan lebih lanjut dan mendalam, buleh juga start ngan blog Jannah where it all began.

So... my first entry for 2008.
2007 was not an auspicious year for me... it's not like i believe in such things as "auspicious year" but just to note, there's been rough times here and there. nevertheless here are some noted (so-called) achievements from last year:
1. berjaya beli henpon z610i hahaha tak pedulik pun sama brand or kaler ngan pompuan tu
2. berjaya pindah team baru
3. berjaya drive sampai opis muahahaha
4. berjaya pergi bercuti2 (lagi)
5. berjaya nengok konsert lobangsingki lagik
6. berjaya baca buku bertemakan romantik muahahaha
7. berjaya pegi annual dinner opis
8. berjaya menukau template blog
9. berjaya dapat cuti raya haji
10. buleh minum soya balik
11. berjaya buat kek sendiri (ok ok i used pillsbury cake mix... tapi kire buat la jugak kan? the beatings and all that =P )
12. berjaya beli buku harry potter hard cover!!

Aku ni tak pernah2 laa nak baca buku romance... sebab aku tak bape suka nak baca cite pasal this and that yang biasa dalam buku genre nih... sekali aku terjumpa la buku The Charm School by Susan Wiggs kat bilik adikku.. bila dah baca tu suka giler aku ngan cite ni!!!
Buku ni mengisahkan seorang pompuan socialite dari Boston jatuh chenta dengan seorang kapten kapal yang sungguh flamboyant. Setting dia sekitar tahun 1851-52 gitu, so buleh bayangkan la dia punye dressing whatsoever.
Si pompuan ni, Isadora Peobody, kire macam intan terpilih la... Family dia semua lawa2 dan accomplished gitew, tapi dia ni agak kurang cantik la pada pandangan mata masyarakat Boston pada zaman tu. Jadi untuk melarikan diri dari segala yang membuat dia rase tersisih, dia pun mengambil peluang keemasan untuk menjadi seorang translator di atas sebuah kapal yang menuju ke Rio.
Kapal tu pulak diterajui oleh kapten Ryan Calhoun, seorang yang sungguh flamboyant gitew. Dia ni sebenonye anak orang kaya, tapi dia sanggup meninggalkan itu semua untuk membebaskan family sorang kawan dia ni dari slavery. Jadi dengan kesibukkan dia nak mencarik duit untuk mencapai cita2, dia pun kire cam "takde masa" laa nak melayan si Isadora ni.
So bila dah set sail bermula la pengembaraan yang menarik... masa aku baca tu aku teringat kat elizabeth swann n jack sparrow... siap buleh terbayang lah kalau cite ni jadi mubie camne la setting dia. Isadora ni kire agak aktif jugak la atas kapal, sampai semua orang menjadi terpesona dengan character dia berbanding masa kat darat. Ryan dari memula tak suka sebab, ye lah, kapal kan "a guy's thing", lagi2 kapal kargo... bila ade je pompuan blend in dengan semua crew musti rasa tercabar. Tapi lama2 dia pon jatuh chenta (tapi tanak admit lagi la).
Bila dah sampai kat Rio Ryan pun coba meluahkan rasa chenta, tapi disebabkan Isadora ni kurang confidence (dan juga Ryan tau Isadora suka kat jantan lain) so bila taim lovemaking tu terasa seperti khayalan semata2 (diorang smoke weed dulu beforehand). Lepas tu mula la diorang rasa janggil nak berjumpa, tapi dalam hati masing2 tau dia dah jatuh chenta..
Bila dah samapi Boston balik, tiba masa untuk berpisah. Isadora pun bersiap2 la nak pergi ball terus dengan berpakaian serba sombre, tapi suddenly semua crew dengan ikhlasnye tolong dia siap2 dan jadi seorang wanita tercantik. Masa Ryan antar dia naik coach nak gi ball, sempat dia cakap ngan Isadora yang dia memang betul2 chenta, then kissed her. Isadora pun gembira sangat2, dia tak bertepuk sebelah tangan. B4 dia pergi, Ryan cakap dia akan jumpa Isadora kat ball. Tapi tunggu punye tunggu, tak datang2 jugak Ryan tu. Isadora pun panik. Then sampai la berita Ryan and the crew tenggelam bersama kapal ke dasar laut. Abih hancur luluh hati dan perasaan Isadora. Kehidupan dia lepas tu macam zombie je.
Sekali satu malam kat satu ball ni, tetibe je ade satu geng berpakaian pirates crashed the party. Isadora memula tak percaya, tapi bila dah kompem ketua pirate tu Ryan dia pun jadi gumbira sangat2. Diorang pun lari dari ball tu happily.. dengan bakal cahayamata. Fin.
Sore ja, my conclusion is, the story is really charming and enjoyable. Bak kata review kat belakang buku tu, "...an irresistable blend of The Ugly Ducking and My Fair Lady."

So bila dah set sail bermula la pengembaraan yang menarik... masa aku baca tu aku teringat kat elizabeth swann n jack sparrow... siap buleh terbayang lah kalau cite ni jadi mubie camne la setting dia. Isadora ni kire agak aktif jugak la atas kapal, sampai semua orang menjadi terpesona dengan character dia berbanding masa kat darat. Ryan dari memula tak suka sebab, ye lah, kapal kan "a guy's thing", lagi2 kapal kargo... bila ade je pompuan blend in dengan semua crew musti rasa tercabar. Tapi lama2 dia pon jatuh chenta (tapi tanak admit lagi la).
Bila dah sampai kat Rio Ryan pun coba meluahkan rasa chenta, tapi disebabkan Isadora ni kurang confidence (dan juga Ryan tau Isadora suka kat jantan lain) so bila taim lovemaking tu terasa seperti khayalan semata2 (diorang smoke weed dulu beforehand). Lepas tu mula la diorang rasa janggil nak berjumpa, tapi dalam hati masing2 tau dia dah jatuh chenta..
Bila dah samapi Boston balik, tiba masa untuk berpisah. Isadora pun bersiap2 la nak pergi ball terus dengan berpakaian serba sombre, tapi suddenly semua crew dengan ikhlasnye tolong dia siap2 dan jadi seorang wanita tercantik. Masa Ryan antar dia naik coach nak gi ball, sempat dia cakap ngan Isadora yang dia memang betul2 chenta, then kissed her. Isadora pun gembira sangat2, dia tak bertepuk sebelah tangan. B4 dia pergi, Ryan cakap dia akan jumpa Isadora kat ball. Tapi tunggu punye tunggu, tak datang2 jugak Ryan tu. Isadora pun panik. Then sampai la berita Ryan and the crew tenggelam bersama kapal ke dasar laut. Abih hancur luluh hati dan perasaan Isadora. Kehidupan dia lepas tu macam zombie je.
Sekali satu malam kat satu ball ni, tetibe je ade satu geng berpakaian pirates crashed the party. Isadora memula tak percaya, tapi bila dah kompem ketua pirate tu Ryan dia pun jadi gumbira sangat2. Diorang pun lari dari ball tu happily.. dengan bakal cahayamata. Fin.
Sore ja, my conclusion is, the story is really charming and enjoyable. Bak kata review kat belakang buku tu, "...an irresistable blend of The Ugly Ducking and My Fair Lady."
